Cyber security talk

Cyber-security talk will take place on 9 November in Sheriff Hutton village hall starting at 7pm. It will be straightforward behavioural & technical advice for internet users from a senior member of a GCHQ accredited cyber security training company. It will be suitable for all ages, from teenagers to silver surfers! Entry is free.

The talk will cover advice for all:

  • online banking & shopping users
  • social media groups
  • small businesses & self-employed
  • shops & retailers
  • savers & investors
  • good neighbours

Community Emergency Plan

The Community Emergency Plan is complete and we have received an emergency kit bag from NYCC and all coordinators have a key to the village hall – the meeting place in case of emergency. Thanks to all those people who have volunteered to be coordinators.

Doggy Bin

As well as the 2 doggy bins provided in Thornton-le-Clay, there is a new doggy bin provided in Foston. We ask everyone to use these when out walking their dogs, for their doggy waste. Leaving it on the roadside or in the grass verges is a health hazard for other people & animals walking around the villages. So please bin it.

Thank You
